What does it mean?
«multi» comes from Latin

multum – много,

«sensory» comes from Latin

sensus – восприятие, чувство,

ощущение.

What are the advantages of using МТ?  children learn information using all the senses: hearing, eye sight, touch, smell and taste;  stimulates children to be involved in the learning process on several levels at the same time;  allows to use almost all opportunities for the learning process;  develops touching and kinetic memory;  makes the learning process as effective and enjoyable as possible;  makes the learning process and understanding easy.

Opportunities of using МТ • studies with sand, paper, cloth, drawing using fingers,puzzles; • making samples using glue, clay, plasticine; • using small pieces for manipulation to make the learning process of maths skills easy; • games including skipping over a skipping rope, clapping hands and other movements connected with the learning process during a count, action stories, rhymes and songs; • different movements such as dances , throwing a ball, flash cards and others; • chants, crafts.
How to use MT on the lessons? Teacher’s instructions :  Buy a big apple.  Take it home.  Wash the apple.  Peel the apple.  Cut the apple.  Eat half of the apple. Yummy!  Look! What’s in the other half?  A very big worm!
